Steam Autumn Sale (holy christ!)

Post by Taehl »

Steam is having (yet another) huge sale. I just bought Mirror's Edge, Cave Story +, All the Oddworld games (twice), Portal 2, Orcs Must Die (and its DLC), and LIMBO... For under $50.

Wow, that is indeed pretty amazing. Damn Steam's dominion over AAA and Indie titles alike.

If you haven't played Mass Effect 1 & 2 yet, get them now! They're some of my favorite games ever.

This! Mass Effect is one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

And if you're into Space 4X games, check out Sins of a Solar Empire. The learning curve is quite steep, but once you've got the hang of it, it's quite immersive.

I remembered start steam yesterday just for the usual client updates and noticed how Mass Effect 2 was so cheap! But there is a lot of companies with amazing reductions of all their stuff! Better check your wishing list and search to find if that game is also in promotion. Have a nice black friday people.

Note: Instead of pay 7,66 for Portal better get all Valve Complete Pack for 44,90 euros
Includes 24 items: Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, Deathmatch Classic, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Ricochet, Half-Life, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes, Half-Life: Blue Shift, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Portal, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2

Gameplay for all life lol...

What a horrible time for my debit card to expire. I guess I really don't need any more games sucking up my time beyond Skyrim and League of Legends. :(

I had more or less the same thought. Stop be passive playing games, start instead be active doing games. Time is not enough for all.

1 hour 40 minutes remain until they switch all the current deals with new ones.

Playing games is far from being passive. In fact, action is the very thing that distinguishes games from other media. :P

But a good game designer has to know a lot about games, both theoretical and practical aspects. How should you know what constitutes good game design if you never play games?
