It's been discussed, but apparently there are a lot of reasons it would be difficult to do. The devs have enough on their hands working on the PC version of LOVE.

Problem is you need an Expensive Lawyer if you're doing to develop for Apple Products. There's a whole mess of terms for development that state you cannot use scripting languages in an iPhone application or something of the like, though Appcelerator and a few others got away with it.

Corona SDK allows creating Lua apps in Android/iPhone. You can try it for free, but you have to pay if you want to release your apps.
