Congrats on the 100th post. Personally, I prefer WASD to arrow keys since I grew up playing SNES/Mega Drive and such, so I'm used to moving the character (or equivalent ) using my left hand, I agree with Jasoco on the Macbook Pro/laptop keyboard/trackpad thingy also. That said, there are many games that have a "southpaw" configuration that allows players to use their right hand for movement controls.
To be more on topic, has anyone got plans to create a mac version of this? I don't have access to windows or a vm at the moment.

Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

It turns out I do have the source files but I believe the Mac version has to be compiled on a Mac, which I do not have.Lafolie wrote:To be more on topic, has anyone got plans to create a mac version of this? I don't have access to windows or a vm at the moment.
I never got around to it. By the time I was ready to do enemies I had moved on to LOVE.miko wrote:I can shoot, move and jump, but there are no enemies

It's only terrible if you don't know how to use it.Grassi wrote:Used to use Game Maker, sucks so bad, terrible graphics, terrible programming, terrible all round but hey if it works.

Spelunky plays like the perfect platformer should. Solid controls. Beautiful 16-bit looking graphics and really good music. (If not a bit repetitive) And it was made in Game Maker. AND it has an XBLA version coming out soon!
