Im learning too :/ But currently im just reading the wiki and asking people to fix my scripts here and help me out with issues.

Getting Started would be a logical place to start out from.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

In addition to the getting started page check out the tutorials section. I also write a guide for getting started (half of it you've probably already done by now). As for LOVE's API, the wiki is your friend, you'll find all the documentation for the API there.
