Urgh, how can I make an image work with setColor?

Urgh, how can I make an image work with setColor?

I have a plain white image, but no matter what, setColor doesn't change it's color from white :(

love.graphics.setColorMode(love.color_modulate)

I think this will be the default mode in future versions (I'm not 100% sure yet).
