Because in my mind, a unit that's exactly half a circle (pi rad) makes more sense than a unit that's a full circle. Besides, 1 tau = 0 tau, and that's just silly.BlackBulletIV wrote:Why's that? Well that's the way circles work. It's a complete loop, the first point is the same as the last. I don't see how \(\tau \equiv 0\) is silly, it just represents the fact that I just mentioned. But anyway, if Pi works better for you, that's fine.
