I've been busy with RL the past month, so I threw together a quick animation in Love to warm back up. (Shameful, shameful code.)
Anyone who watched Toradora ought to recognize the idea.
Controls:
Spacebar to pause,
Enter to toggle fullscreen,
Mouseclick/wheel adds a new splash,
Up/right/plus to accelerate,
Down/left/minus to decelerate,
everything else exits.

Re: Splash
Added a clicking feature, think I fixed a few bugs, am not totally sure. Any suggestions from the crowd?

Re: Splash
Add the music from Toradora. haha. Or maybe even just a soothing chill background music with some droplet sounds with massive reverb for splashes.
Possibly a resolution independent version? i.e. stop using a graphic. (though I fear this would hurt in the efficiency department)

Re: Splash
Definitely needs music.
Re: Splash
I would love to see the following in this:
-A sound played by each 'splash' that would change tone with the colour and fadeout as the 'splash' grows in size
-A slower initial rate at which the 'splashes' are generates to compliment the above.
I could provide some lövely samples/sound effects for you to use if you wanted to try this. I'd really like that in fact. I could even provide different timbres and keys/chords/harmonies which could be toggled/changed with a keystroke.

Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

Re: Splash
Updated for 0.8.0. I added some little features, changed to line drawing rather than image drawing, and adjusted some variables. Should run faster and cleaner now.
