Signal From The Stars - Development of a point & click adventure game

Post by gcmartijn »

H!

After a few years of development, I think I will have my first Love2d game finished in 2026 (depending on donations). I just put the website online, and you are the first to check it out. This wouldn't have been possible without the community.

Game name: Signal From The Stars
Website: https://signalfromthestars.com

I think I will indeed make the Engine3 (https://signalfromthestars.com/blog/2020/engine3/) open-source soon, even while the game is still in development. The game itself, however, will not be open-source at this point, as it is still in development.

Since this is my first game, I would approach some things differently based on the experience I have now. So I'm not sure if it's wise to make everything open-source. But it might be interesting to see how the structure, class overrides, etc., are implemented.

For now, my priority is sketching all the scenes, which will keep me busy for a while.
