Port forward gaming

Do i need to open ports to get the same server running across different computers? Also, when i check in ip config and here , both show me a different public ip. Why is that

ipconfig gives you a local ip adress (also known as private ip adress), not public. Also this is a wrong category for your post, its about porting games to other programming languages/platforms, try Support & Development. I don't really understand what you are talking about in the first question , maybe rephrase?
