LOST is a 2D pixel art platformer, adventure game that is made with love2d Literally.
Play as a boy LOST in another dimension trying to get back home.
And be careful there are spikes, enemies, and saw blades. Avoid them.
Collect points as much as you can.
I used shaders for the background, tiled for my map and I tried to make the gameplay best as I could and this is the result.
I tried to make it fit in 4mb and I succeed in making it with some help from upx to compress all the dlls files to reduce the the game size.
Rate the game and leave a comment and tell your friends about it .
The story:
An Ordinary Boy Lost In Another Dimension.
Try To Save The Ordinary Boy To Get back Home!!

Re: LOST [Released]!!
Why would you work with tools that are specifically not platform dependent and then say THIS?

1. Because linux doesn't existBrotSagtMist wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 9:18 pmWhy would you work with tools that are specifically not platform dependent and then say THIS?
2. android is hard to setup with all of that android sdk crap
3. macos doesn't exist
4. device with ios cost money. like, really big sum of cash (also, i think, you need macos with xcode to build on it)
5. web doesn't exist
But, jokes aside, https://love2d.org/wiki/Game_Distribution and also https://2dengine.com/p/builder will be enough to build not only for windows (because, you know, not only windows exist, despite what microsoft might think) but for other platforms.
With that builder (that gigachad ivan makes and updates it) it should be quite easy and painless, if building manually is not variant.

my bad , but I think that most people use windows so I build my game for windowsBrotSagtMist wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 9:18 pmWhy would you work with tools that are specifically not platform dependent and then say THIS?
Would you suggest building it for macOS or Linux?

Agree, if it was possible to zip source code of game in nice archive that could be run anywhere where love binaries is available...BrotSagtMist wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 2:40 am Oh if there would just be a specific file for this purpose that we could all agree on to use i would .LOVE to see that.
I think slime should implement something like that and call this format ".love"... would be cool feature!

Re: LOST [Released]!!
Finally.
Okey bad news.
It starts but it is barely playable, it has like ~10 fps and that kinda affects gameplay too.
