Strange font issue when using print

Post by withad »

I've just started going through the tutorials and I'm getting a weird problem when using print. Any font I've tried (including the default and a couple of other ones) appears garbled, as in this screenshot. If I increase the size, it starts to show up better, eventually showing all the letters correctly at around size 40. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. Anyone know what could be causing it?

Looks like a bug in either your graphics driver or in FreeType 2?

Wasn't there a problem like this in a pre-release version of LÖVE 0.7.0? Are you sure you're running the latest stable one?

Dunno, I never seen anything like it before.

I think Taehl might be onto something here, especially because no-one else has this, and a lot of people run Ubuntu around here.
