Scaling & Bilinear filter

Post by Chman »

Hi,

I'm currently playing around with Löve as I'm looking for something new for my future little game. So far it's great !

Quick question though : is there a way to choose the scale filter used ? Right now if you scale an image or an animation, it's smoothed, which I don't want.

Second question : is there a way to scale the global scene ? Like, for example, rendering everything to an image, scale this image and display it ?

My game is a tiny pixel-shooter and I'd like to add a 2x & 4x size option (to give you an idea, a character is 13 pixels tall at max).

Thanks :)

You can't set the scale filter, sorry. I'll add it to the task list, though.

As for scaling the whole scene, you can use the undocumented love.graphics.scale( sx, sy ), but note that I haven't really tested it.

then don't? at least not without giving constructive feedback, which in this case is kind of hard?

Just thought it was cool to see, saw this while searching and seeing it wasn't really useful since it was from 2008 and scale was untested. Nostalgia you know.
Though I kind of knew I would get ... clapped

Would have posted this in GENERAL,
couldn't...
...

But sorry.
