Level 14 might be the maximum humanly possible in a decent graphics card (I got there too; my spacebar is going to sue me for abuse), but by setting love.keyboard.setKeyRepeat(true) it can be shown that it's not the maximum level attainable. In my desktop, at about 45,000 flakes the frame rate starts to drop below 60.
