Good day!
I am determined to start creating small games. It is not to gain any cash from it but more to...cheer someone up. Someone close to me has been having a hard time lately and as she is a gamer I want to create little games especially for her. I know basics of JS and I heard that LOVE is similar to it?
I am a newbie but I wish to learn and LOVE seems to be very users friendly. Where do I start? What are basic tutorials or YT videos that are reliable?
Thank you.

Hello & Welcome!
Here is article about how to write hello world on Love

Here is youtube examples

or just search Love2d on youtube...
About JS: Love2d uses Lua programming language, it is really easy, and if you know any other language and programming basics, you can learn Lua very quickly. For example:
Learn Lua in 15 Minutes http://tylerneylon.com/a/learn-lua/
But, you know, there is a huge gap between "know how to make a basic game" and "make a game that is interesting to play"
So, if she is interested in game development itself, not only in ready games — it can work as "a process"

There's also this that many recommend (both in youtube vid and readable forms): https://sheepolution.com/learn
Me and my stuff True Neutral Aspirant. Why, yes, i do indeed enjoy sarcastically correcting others when they make the most blatant of spelling mistakes. No bullying or trolling the innocent tho.
