So I just opened Love for the first time, and I can't do anything.
There is no UI that I can see, and when I click anywhere it doesn't do anything.

You have to give love the path to the folder with the game/main.lua, or the path to the .love file. See https://love2d.org/wiki/Getting_Started

Löve also doesnt have an IDE built-in; you write your code with other apps, then you run it with löve.
