Re: Forum etiquette
I know this is rather unrelated, but I see a lot of "OBEY".
Remember the three magic words; please, you're welcome, and f*ck you.
Re: Forum etiquette
Not really. It's not really frowned upon, I've seen it in a few places (even on one of my own threads) and people don't seem to mind. Necro posting is more of an issue in boards with higher frequency posting than this place, and what with support threads and such it can be appropriate.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

Re: Forum etiquette
There are instances where it's just pointless, if nothing else. Don't just bump it because you want to say thanks or something, but if you have an issue with a lib for example, it's fine to post in an older thread.
Me and my stuff True Neutral Aspirant. Why, yes, i do indeed enjoy sarcastically correcting others when they make the most blatant of spelling mistakes. No bullying or trolling the innocent tho.
Re: Forum etiquette
What is about bumping own thread every week only to have it stay on the first page?
Re: Forum etiquette
Because counting on people randomly finding you and your stuff is counting on failure. You got to advertise.
