hey folks, I've finally finished the game I was working on using love2d.
the release date for it is March 12, and you can check it out on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/77358 ... ev_Studio/
here's a short gameplay video I've cooked up for it:
if this is the kind of game you like playing, add it to your wishlist, it'd help a lot.

Congratulations on the release! It looks incredibly well polished and like a very fun Sim-game. I wish you the best of luck with your release!
Word of advice, you will be contacted by a lot of "reviewers" who will ask for a key (often multiple ones for their "friends). You can with 99% certainty write them off as scammers trying to get keys to resell. Redflags include:

- Using a different Email than the youtube review account lists.
- Representing some Steam review group.
- Broken english: Spelling and grammar errors.
- Generic mail: If their comments could apply to any other steam game, nothing specific related to your game.
- The youtube account they linked doesn't even do reviews for games in your genre, or any at all.

hey! thanks for the kind words and the tips.
I haven't yet received any friend invites from people, and I've been using the steam curator system to send out keys to communities for review.

I know the effort might be too much for the returns, but could you please look into providing a Linux build on Steam?

absolutely, right now I've been putting all of my efforts and time into a stable Windows release, but once I'm done with it, I'll look into a Mac and Linux build for sure.
doubt it'll be that hard either, considering how cross-platform LOVE2D and also the fact that I've already run it on my work mac in the past.

Congrats! I wish you all the best for your release.

Congratulations! Having your game released on Steam is a great milestone.
Much respect to you as a fellow dev.
But as I player going over the trailer and screenshots - I have to say that it's very hard to stand out on Steam.
Was really hoping for a more lighthearted direction, with puns and references to other devs.
Good luck!
