Love2D is UNPLAYABLY slow in Ubuntu 14.04 but runs fine on windows

A game that is running flawlessly in windows is EXTREMELY UNPLAYABLY SLOW(barely moving) in Ubuntu 14.04. I can't understand what's going on. No problem with the coding.

How are you running the game on Linux?

Is it on different machines?

Did you make sure your graphics card is being used on Linux?

The same way I am running it on windows, using zerobrane studio.

No, it's on the same machine.

I have the intel integrated graphics card. I did some researching and found out Ubuntu comes with Intel drivers by default.

A game that is running at 60 fps and 17 milliseconds delta time is not working in Ubuntu 14.04 (getting 0.1 millisecond delta time), the sprites are not moving at all.

0.1 ms delta time means it's running fast, not slow. Right? My guess is no vsync and your code can't handle that.

No problem with the coding.

@grump oh, you are absolutely right. I have to edit my question. But I don't know why this crazy stuff is happening. I mean seriously there is no problem with the coding, since it runs fine on windows at 60 frames per second flawlessly. But here in Ubuntu, it moves 1 pixel in 3 seconds. Very strange. Also even if vsync was disabled, I would see tearing and stuff but it won't get this much messed up. Idk.
