Theoretically or actually?zac352 wrote:Has anyone considered a wii port?
Theoretically, yes. However, the input controls are very different from any conventional input system -- how do we map the wiimote to the mouse or joystick system? (wiimode -> keyboard is simpler, of course). Also, users will probably have to break their console open in some way to get LÖVE to run on it (although I'm not sure of that). It's not really acceptable to ask something like that of our players, is it?

There's always homebrew, isn't there? I've seen some ROMs of homebrew games, they have a boot file and several OS-looking parts.Robin wrote:Theoretically or actually?zac352 wrote:Has anyone considered a wii port?

The Wii scene is mostly about soft modding the Wii to run homebrew apps.Robin wrote:Also, users will probably have to break their console open in some way to get LÖVE to run on it (although I'm not sure of that). It's not really acceptable to ask something like that of our players, is it?

Oh. Allright then.TechnoCat wrote:The Wii scene is mostly about soft modding the Wii to run homebrew apps.
We still have the problem of input interpretation, though.
