In Linux there's a Compose key (not always enabled by default). Pressing Compose, <, 3 gives you ♥; Compose, o, c gives you ©; Compose, ~, n gives you ñ and so on. Linux users can google for Compose Key to find out how it works ☺ (that's Compose, :, ) )
I have the Scroll Lock key as my Compose key.

Re: Looking to poke at the löve code
Didn't realize at the time, but i just meant that appeared to me, on win7, and just realized that it's not really an emoji, just a more basic unicode symbol, like ♥; that's why i could see it. (Even if it's considered one, it's still a dingbat, supported from way earlier than when pictoral emojis became a thing in unicode) /off
Me and my stuff True Neutral Aspirant. Why, yes, i do indeed enjoy sarcastically correcting others when they make the most blatant of spelling mistakes. No bullying or trolling the innocent tho.
