My Spaceship Shooting game!

Hey Guys!
Here's My first (successful) game in LOVE2D!
I know the idea is not original, but I couldn't make up anything new.
And I know it doesn't look good either, that's because I can't draw.
It's my (probably) first step towards game development, so tell me if there's anything wrong with my game or not.
I hope you enjoy it!

UPDATE - 4TH MAY -
•Now the player's speed is actually normalized.
•Enemies have random shooting delays.
•Images are being loaded from the start.
•And the best of them all - POWERUPS are added. For now, there are only two of them - Slow Motion and Shield.
