Game cannot start unless laptop plugged into TV with HDMI cable
So I have been playing a game that uses love2d recently and it had been running just fine until it suddenly didn't. Now everytime I doubleclick/try to run the game's .exe nothing pops out, no game, no error. The only time I can get the game to come out/run is when my laptop is plugged into my TV with an HDMI cable. Any idea on what is the cause and how to fix this?

Maybe your computer still thinks the second screen is active, and the window spawns on the other screen (which is invisble because it's not connected). Is it also not visible in the task manager?

It does not appear in task manager nor does it spawn on the other screen when plugged in

Update your graphics drivers & launch it from a command prompt, see if it display any debug messages? Otherwise I'd file a ticket or something (at the issue tracker)

Apparently the problem was that my monitor colors were set to 16bit. I've changed them back to 32bit and the game is now able to run. Weird.
