ubuntu - can't install 0.10.1

Post by RAFAEL HEBER »

Hello,

I think I'm in those so called dependency hell, anyway

I can't install the new version, Ubuntu say: can't intall the new because the currently installed have a problem... and never repair...

(even zerobrain doesn't recognize this anymore...)

Help?

Do you use the PPA ? It is maintained by bartbes and has the most recent version. Ubuntu/Debian package version of LÖVE is 0.9.1.

It's important to note that you need to first install liblove (which you can download on the home page.) using ubuntu software centre before you install love 0.10.1. If you've got old packages you can upgrade them the same way.

So to recap:

1) Download liblove, install liblove
2) Download love 0.10.1, install love
3) Test if works by using terminal.
4) Profit.
