LOVE on Chromebook?

Post by Thatnintendonerd »

I really want to be able to play Mari0 on my Chromebook, but is it possible to run it? I don't want to get Ubuntu or anything that involves developer mode, but I noticed that the chrome web store had something that can read the source code (albeit poorly). I tried to convert .LOVE into another type like .NES as an experiment, but it didn't work. If there's not a way, maybe someone could try making a chrome app that runs .LOVE, because I have absolutely no knowledge on how code works. :ehem:

Well actually there is a new fresh cool way. There is an 0.10.0 port of Mari0 floating around. Someone could make it a web game using the new lovejs. And boom you would be able to play. Um I will try it out real quick for you. Although I can't guarantee it working.

Tanner tested last night for me and no mari0 doesn't work correctly on lovejs. I'm assuming it will be fixed soon (he likes mari0) and I will reply with a link if he ever does.

:awesome: Thanks for helping out! I like how it runs it so easily to, because it even partially ( I couldn't press any buttons, but that's because there's no keyboard) worked on my cell phone! I appreciate the effort ^^

Also there is a .love and love apk for Android so you don't need the web browser for mobile.

Edit: Does it work on Chrome OS?

Yeah, it works just fine on the Chromebook. :) It lags a bit when it first starts, but then it's fine for the rest of the play session.

Moderators caught me faster than I expected. And it's slow on initial load because it loads assets in the main thread now.

Heh. I've seen a bunch of people who were trying to get love on Chrome OS. Now we can share the .LOVE online! (sorry for the bad pun)
