Yay! (thanks!)
Boo! (that sucks for you!)
Thanks again for helping out - enjoy Fallout 4. I guess we won't be seeing you for a few months. :-)

Re: Spellrazor (Freeware) 0.9.2 - Rogue meets Defender/Berze
Such an awesome game! i just love everything about it
unfortunately while FINALLY getting to level 7... i just hit a bug.. and it broke my best run
I was being chased and was damaged and hit teleport while being hit, but when i spawned somewhere else, i had become invisible and not able to move or do anything. i also noticed that the timer stopped... A suicide command would be nice to have, or some other way to save your score in case something like this happens.
(i'm supposed to be in the middle of that block where that companion is circling)
i like the obscurity of the 27 keys, maybe for some of the same reason i also like Nethack, the learning curve of the interface is a part of the challenge.
Oh and while i'm at it.. for some reason, whenever you minimize the game, it starts taxing hard on the cpu for no reason. The scoreboard also seems to register multiple entries at a time, i get tree scores with the same name on the list every time i die.
I'm on OSX if that is any help

Re: Spellrazor (Freeware) 0.9.2 - Rogue meets Defender/Berze
Thanks so much for playing!
I'll check into the high score bug right now - it's certainly weird. [Edit] Huh. Can't get this one to repro at all. Is there a specific score 'level' you're reaching? I'm trying it with scores around 6-8000 and it's acting as normal. Also, let me know your three-letter-name in case there's something weird happening with that (not that I can fathom how it would alter anything, but... you know... it's a weird game).
You're right about the minimized game taking up more CPU - I have no idea why, but I'm sure it's shader-related: I'm using a lot of shaders. It'll be interesting to see how the newest build helps/hinders this, as I've made a lot of changes/additions.
Ugh - sorry about the 'stuck' thing. I'll see if I can report it. A suicide command isn't ridiculous. I can add one to the console with very little impact (i.e. inadvertent bug creation). Most other keys are currently being used to help me put together a promo-movie for the game. I might leave them in for a bit of fun. [Edit] Holy crap. You teleported while dead! I had no idea that was even possible! That should be an Achievement! :-)
Again, thanks for the feedback. I keep being told 'just move on from your weird, niche project' by other people, so it's always lovely to hear that other people than me are enjoying the game. :-)

P.S. I'm on OS X, too.

Re: Spellrazor (Freeware) 0.9.2 - Rogue meets Defender/Berze
The scoreboard bug seems to happen every time i make an entry, it does not seem to be level specific however i usually get to level 6-7 if that helps. I have another bug report though, once again in my best run getting to level 8 and game crashed instantly with the following:
Wow i teleported while being dead o.o, i didn't even notice.

Re: Spellrazor (Freeware) 0.9.4 - Rogue meets Defender/Berze
Okay. Got a fix for level 8. Gremlin slipped in at the last moment. If you don't mind editing the love files, go to 'Levels.lua' and alter the '£' character in the string on line 20 (near the end of the line) to... any other character. Or just delete the character. Either works. Regardless, it'll be in the next build.
Still chasing down your 'zombie teleport bug'. I've managed to repro precisely once.
I've added 'suicide' to the console - it'll be in the next build, too.
Can't get the high score table issue to repro at all.
Thanks so much for the feedback again.
[Edit: 0.9.4 is now up, with the fixes for the crash and the weird hang. Thanks!]

Re: Spellrazor (Freeware) 0.9.4 - Trailer now up
The mouse shows up in certain clips in the trailer, on the right side..
Also, the Ariel font doesn't quite match up with the retro theme.

Looks great! But I agree, the clips with the mouse in them + the font are minuses.
I think you should go for a "retro" style font, that may fit better.

Bwaaaaaahahahahahaha. How did I not spot the cursor? Lord...
As for font, I tried the original BBC Micro font (as used in the game). It looked... odd, and out of keeping with the 'documentary' style I was going for. I might give it another working through and see how what falls out.
[Now fixed. Thanks!]
