Wasn't the ppa full of other 0.7.0 stuff or is the fix backported to 0.6.*?bartbes wrote:You mean the one that people using my ppa no longer experience and is fixed in 0.7.0?

Life's too short to get on-topic! Also, 1800th post.bartbes wrote:Now, let's get back on topic.
But really, the whole vector graphics thing (especially the vector font) looks mighty interesting.

Re: It's Geometry Wars meets Ikaruga
I too would like to know that.
Anyway, who is STILL having slowdown with the latest version (0.0.3)? Please post your OS and approximately how far in it happens. I don't get any problems at all. And now the bullets are actually removed so I can't see why it would happen.
I don't use love.audio directly. I use Bartbes audio library for playing the same SFX overlapped. I can only work with what löve has.

1) Only the Linux version from the ppa has been updated so far, I think. This because Linux was experiencing the most problems with the sound, and it's the easiest to update.Jasoco wrote:I too would like to know that.

2) Ubuntu 10.04. I'd say it happens 20-30 seconds in.

Same here, I should add that if I stop firing and there are few enemies that the fps gets back up, but when I start firing more, and especially when there are more enemies it slows down to the point I could barely move my mouse pointer.

There is a counter on screen. How many bullets does it say are in memory when it slows down? More than are actually visible on screen? It would have to be a pretty high number to cause slowdown.

Re: It's Geometry Wars meets Ikaruga
No, it was quite low. Around 25 or so. The drop in FPS seemed to be independent from how many bullets had been spawned, which is what leads me to believe that you're forgetting to delete something else.Jasoco wrote:There is a counter on screen.
