stxmp - Platformer Party-Game

Post by Ulydev »

Hello there, everyone.

For the past few days I've been working on stxmp (temporary title), a platformer party-game that I hope to submit for MiniLD #61.

Here's what I got for the moment :

Basically, it's a party-game designed for up to 4 players. There's only one game mode for now in which you have to jump on other players' head.

I'm here to get some feedback, so please send me a message if you've got any suggestions, things you like or others you don't. ;)

OK, so I submitted my entry.

Please feel free to download it at http://ludumdare.com/compo/minild-61/?a ... &uid=43753 and tell me what you think of it.

Nice! The aspect ratio seems a little off (bottom not visible on 1080p). Kickin' music and pretty cool use of voice. It was hard for me to get used to the realtive-to-screen controls. Matter of preference. I didn't have anybody around to play against, so I can't judge the gameplay very much :)
lg.newImage("cat.png") -- made possible by lg = love.graphics
-- Don't force fullscreen (it frustrates those who want to try your game real quick) -- Develop for 1280x720 (so people can make HD videos)

OMG, I just fixed it. Thanks for reporting it, that was indeed a huge issue.
Thanks for the nice feedback ! ;)
