Love2D on Puppy Linux

I know that love2d works on Ubuntu but I was wondering if it works on puppy linux too? I have an old computer and I'm thinking about installing puppy linux on it and compile my love2d projects for linux there.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeooow!!

It should work on most distros the wiki has instructions for building from source
