The blog Daring Fireball mentioned it back in January of '09, and as I'd been looking for a 2d game engine using Lua for a couple of months at that point, well, it was LÖVE at first sight.

It appears that the members of that forum did not understand the fact that your supposed to read http://www.lua.org/pil before starting with LOVE.
