Please don't use sourceforge Use github, or even bitbucket.
I don't think a game needs to have artificial difficulties like timers or whatnot, the difficulty can come form the puzzles themselves. You could add new blocks in the future such as portals which could transport either ball to a new location or a disconnected room, etc. Adding enemies or lava pits just doesn't seem necessary for this sort of puzzle game.
You could add a ranking system where you get a rank depending on how many moves you took to beat the level in relation to the minimum required. That could add a bit of replayability for people who like to S-rank everything.

Re: Semicontrol - A WIP
I use bitbucket for private repos, and github seems like an impossible place to be heard. After I moved my repos from github to sourceforge, I could see some downloads. I'm not trying to advocate sourceforge, but I just wonder why you're against it.Karai17 wrote:Please don't use sourceforge Use github, or even bitbucket.
Thanks! Ranking system is a good idea.Karai17 wrote:I don't think a game needs to have artificial difficulties like timers or whatnot, the difficulty can come form the puzzles themselves. Sourgeforge is old, clunky, and just a crappy platform when compared to Github and Bitbucket. This is the same reason why Google Code is shutting down. It's also worth noting the Sourceforge is known to push malware and adware every since it was bought a few years back. I simply don't trust it anymore.

I didn't know about malware and adware stuff. I agree on it being old, clunky and crappy. I used but never liked Google Code. But if malware stuff you mentioned is true, I think I need to move back to github.Karai17 wrote:Sourgeforge is old, clunky, and just a crappy platform when compared to Github and Bitbucket.
