Let me guess, you want us to say: "No, don't! SMB2 style stuff is worth the trouble!" :P

Well, it really is. Would love to see those projectiles get tossed... What exactly are you having trouble with?

It wouldn't help if I told you. I'm just going to rewrite some stuff better. Sooo buggy.

This is actually my first LOVE2D project. So I'm pretty happy with what I've done so far. The name is "Geometry Rush.

And you should be! Very well done for a first project, I especially like the animations (nice tweening on menu and game startup!).
I didn't like the sounds, though. They're very harsh.
Also, maybe consider adding more upgrades? These kind of games are fun when you get rewarded for staying alive, by getting better/faster/more bullets, for example.

I've been iffy with the sounds for the entire project lol. I keep changing them, but I can't find the right ones. And more upgrades are definitely on the way. Thanks for the tips and advice! :D

I don't know if this counts, but I just started messing around with the engine. Decided to port my love for horror games into this experience, and started work on something I'd like to call "We Are Souls". Here's some of the sprite-work I just finished for the main character, Adam.

I'm not too happy with his arms on the front facing, and back facing states so I'm gonna tweak those a bit, but I do love making pixel art. I'm also probably going to work with his legs too. Limbs are generally my kryptonite when it comes to making people :ehem:

I hope there's some love for the horror genre here :)

Yeah, I always have trouble drawing characters too. So much detail and so many frames.

Anyway, just a little something I've been tweaking...

I'm a stickler for details. Doesn't look nearly as good as Spelunky's bombs but I'm working on it.

I've been playing around with love2d and me and my friend will most likely start working on a 2D Zelda Style mmo, we will be using bitcoin as a means of bringing money into the game, because who doesn't like bitcoin.

If anyone wants to help we could use some graphics, I may be able to tip some btc!
