Have you ever wanted to make a game for the holidays, but had NO inspiration?

I've started the Christmas Creation Contest just for you! Up until Christmas, my Challenge shall go through.

What IS this Challenge, Kawata?
I'm going to give YOU* $10 to make a game by Christmas! But be warned, if you don't complete the game by Christmas... You'll owe ME $10!

Up to 5 people may sign up that way! If you want to join the contest for fun, then you may! Just complete one (1) game by Christmas, and there'll be no risks!

When Christmas comes, we'll open up the presents... By voting! Whoever wins at the end will receive these prizes:
  • An extra $10! Now it's a $20 cash prize!
  • A free copy of Metanet Hunter: REMIX!
  • When the next Metanet Hunter game that's in development is ready, you'll get a free copy!
  • A copy of Starfire Lords: Genesis! This copy applies to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
  • Mad respect!
What are the rules of this Challenge?
Should you accept the money...
  • You will be paid $10 to make a game by Christmas.
  • The game MUST be playable. If you send in an unfinished game, you lose.
  • This should be obvious, but if you're taking the money, you HAVE to make the game from scratch!
  • If you lose, you will owe me $10!
Now if you don't accept the money, the rules are a bit more relaxed:
  • Just finish a game by Christmas! You're still eligible for the prizes at the end!
You do not need to use a specific engine or framework. I recommend LOVE, but it's not mandatory.
When Christmas comes, we will all vote for our favorite games, and the winner receives prizes!
Is there a catch to this Challenge?
Nope! There's no real catch. The only real catch is that you will owe me $10 if you took the money and didn't complete the challenge.
HOWEVER, I can only accept 5 people to take the money to complete the challenge! Sign up quick!

What do I do with the $10?
It's yours! Do whatever you want with the money. I'd recommend you use it on the game, but you don't HAVE to.
For example, you could buy stuff to use in the game here: The Gamedev Market!

How do I enter the contest?
  • You WILL need a PayPal account or you aren't getting any kind of money.
If you're entering the Challenge (taking the money):
  • We'll talk 1 on 1 for a few minutes, get you registered, and you're off.
If you're entering the Contest (submitting a game, but not taking the money):
  • Just submit the game! That's all you have to do.
Is there a theme?
I recommend you make it holiday themed, but you don't have to if you don't want to.
But no, there's no specified theme!

edit: what would you do if someone took the money, used it and didnt have the money to give it back to you? im not taking the money im just asking

Then not only are they kind of a jackass, they owe me a new $10.
Also, paypal accounts are pretty easy to make!

but still, i dont want to take any chances
what if i took the 10$, already spent it and didnt finish my game on time (although there is plenty of time)
i cant get 10$ from anywhere
