Once you read the Wikipedia page he becomes creepy and offensive to religiouses. As a believer in the Church of SubGenius, I find no offense.

Yeah, I think because everybody here is nice and make a great community (because turds are shot away by the game engine's name), it was easier then it would be on other forums. Plus, the request for OBEY was made at the same time avatars were enabled.

Great community, I might have switched back to C++ hard-coding if it wasn't for that.
Good bye.

There is nothing offensive about the Church of Satan.

Strangely appropriate use of a phrase usually not relevant.

The Church of Satan is considered extremely offensive by strong believers in Christianity and related religions. I don't think there is anybody here who is really religious enough for that, though.

StoneCrow: You forgot the quote halos. "Bob" is how it is supposed to be written.

Satanism doesn't believe in the Christian idea of Satan. They are essentially atheists with moral guidelines. They strictly do not believe in the supernatural.

Strictly speaking, only christians believe in the christian idea of satan. But that doesn't keep them from getting all angry over satan, drugs and rock&roll.
TechnoCat wrote:They are essentially atheists with moral guidelines.
I never met an atheist without moral guideline. Don't know of any satanist, though.

Churches, symbols, rituals. No specific supernaturalism, but if you leave it out of the equation, the whole LaVeyan thing falls to pieces (just like christianity, etc.)
