As for animations for ships, I do not have any planned, but I'm always prepared to pivot!

But if you tell me what kind of planets you need, I might just expand on the planet shader/generator... then you don't have to fiddle with the code too much! ... I don't remember it exactly, but it's probably pretty messy... It was more like a test, not a finished library when I last had a look at it.

That's what it boiled down to. In the end, I was able to get the planets I needed. The threading used to generate the data ended up only having single points of entry, so things because really hacky really quickly.
