Odd lag in Windows 8/8.1

I don't think there's anything LÖVE's source code can do to fix it - Windows' window manager (maybe combined with certain graphics drivers) seems to have some issues with OpenGL programs in windowed mode. In Windows 7 or Vista you could work around it by disabling Aero, but I'm not sure Windows 8 has a similar option.

I'm not sure if there's a way to disable aero on Windows 8, but I tested it on Windows 7 with Aero on and the same happened. Turned it off and it doesn't. It seems Windows' window manager has some issues with Aero, indeed. Thank you so much for the help.
