I don't have anything useful to add other than to mention that 0.6 came out on May 11. Mostly everything works fine for me on Ubuntu Linux 14.04. Since I did a fresh re-install of Ubuntu, I had to reselect Love2D as the Lua Interpreter under the Project menu across the top. Nothing complex.

:D v0.70 was released a few days ago. Thanks paul!

Side note:
Tooltip for love.update should be "Callback function used to update the state of the game every frame."

I believe editing the OP should do. But since there is a new thread, that is no longer necessary.
