Awesome work Jeeper! Did you just send your game to the groupees staff and they added it or? What was the process to actually get the game on there?

Congratulations, I'm curious about how this will work, though. I assume that you can't really add any Steam features (achievements, cards, in-game chat, whatever else they have) to a LÖVE game. Is Steam OK with you not putting those in your game?
Possession - Escape from the Nether Regions, my roguelike made in LÖVE for the 2013 7-Day Roguelike Challenge
And its sequel, simply called Possession , which is available on itch.io or Steam, and whose engine I've open-sourced!

I also thought about steam integration into löve.
There is an steam web api (webapi2) that could work for 'some' things.
Here is also a Lua integration for Steams WebApi.
A real integration could be done via nativ plugins. But I think, no one has tried it.
Here is an example of an nativ LÖVE plugin ( PureData).

Steam lets you put up games with 0 support for steam features. If we get on steam we intend to add as many features as we can, It shouldn't be too hard.

Congrats
I've never worked with the Steam API, but it should be a piece of cake. Love allows you to import DLLs. You will have to get down and dirty and write some C/C++ glue code though.Jeeper wrote:Steam lets you put up games with 0 support for steam features.
