I am the owner of an iMac 5 running OSX 10.4.11 and consequently a long time game developer looking for a fresh platform to work on. LÖVE looks to be what I need exactly - however, I have a small issue. When I attempt to run any of the demo programs (or even a freshly created one) the icon for the LÖVE app bounces in my start bar, disappears, and never returns. I searched these forums but was unable to turn up any real results. Perhaps I am simply missing something, but nothing seems to get it to function.
I tried dropping the .love files directly onto the app, as well as double-clicking them directly. I found one thread alluding to incorrectly named hierarchies inside the .love(s), but after a quick check I ruled that out. I'm at a loss here, and I hope I'm just stupid so I can get on with rocking this software.
Thanks!

Re: OSX issue (will not start)
Well, if that is the case -that would explain the failure. And I would be disheartened. I'll hope for another answer, but that sounds fitting.
Thanks for taking the time.!

Re: OSX issue (will not start)
I'm sorry to say 0.6.2 indeed lacks support for 10.4, however, the current repo version (and thus the next release) has support for 10.4, so you might want to wait for the next release or get yourself the repo version.
Re: OSX issue (will not start)
Right - so I obtained version 5.0 and was able to get it to function by it's lonesome. The issue is when I run the included folder with it, it crashes immediately. I'm quite certain I saw a similar error during my travels through the forums here so I'll head back in, but if anyone knows the answer already it would be much appreciated.

Re: OSX issue (will not start)
I assume you meant you have an iMac G5? If so, you'll need Leopard. Or an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard. A copy of Leopard will probably be cheaper for you and will be a lot better than Tiger 10.4. Sad though because Leopard costs $130, while Snow Leopard would just cost $30.
