Yes. Along with links to your work, that would be good start for your future recruitment endeavors.CMFIend420 wrote:Do I have to state that I've had prior experience developing games

Java is fine for games in my opinion, and that library is one of many for Java-based games which you may find useful.

The positions on my team are currently filled, I no longer need anybody upon my team, I just haven't had time to update my posts.

So- why were you posting here again? I mean, if you're looking for Java developers. This is not a Java forum. Nor is this exact sub-forum a job recruitment forum?

If you'd take the time to read the post above you, you'd clearly see that I stated I am not looking for developers. I am posting my game to share interest for it with other gamers, this is a 2D forum, yes?pauljessup wrote:So- why were you posting here again? I mean, if you're looking for Java developers. I'm not 12, I'm actually 18 years old, and the fact I have permission to post yet you all continue to bash me actually makes me think quite the opposite.

A forum for a specific 2D engine and language, yes….CMFIend420 wrote:If you'd take the time to read the post above you, you'd clearly see that I stated I am not looking for developers. I am posting my game to share interest for it with other gamers, this is a 2D forum, yes?

Most online forums are displayed in 2D, that much is true.CMFIend420 wrote:If you'd take the time to read the post above you, you'd clearly see that I stated I am not looking for developers. I am posting my game to share interest for it with other gamers, this is a 2D forum, yes?
This forum in particular is really about the LÖVE game framework.
If you're making a game using other tools that's cool, but it's not on-topic for this forum. If you're already a well-established member of a community, then making a post in that community's forums about something completely off-topic is often more acceptable, however your very first post was a recruitment for something completely unrelated to this forum (aside from the fact that it's a game.) Subsequent posts by you don't seem much more on-topic.
If you want to talk about LÖVE or related things that's great. This isn't a general game development forum though. gamedev.net and tigsource.com are a couple popular ones.

Like I said, if the topic had to be deleted, then by all means, I do not mind. I didn't come here in order to recruit, I had most of my team when I came here, however I had not updated the post very much so it was terribly behind on where we actually are as far as development goes.
I came here in order to post about my game, gain hype, and hopefully gain interested users that would be helpful to me and my community, I hoped to gain interested people that like-wise shared a passion for 2D gaming and would see the potential Chaoscraft could have. I'm sorry if that makes me "12" in any way.

In his defense, the Projects and Demos forum (where I think the OP posted originally) says: "Showcase your games and demos, and discuss ongoing projects." - There's no mentioning of Löve there.
I agree that the projects forum should be Löve only - maybe the mods could add that to the forum's subtitle?
Apart from that, I think people here overreacted. Its one thing to be sceptical when there's any mentioning of online games and VB6, its a totally different thing to bash the OP for it. The first post may have been misleading, but there's no point in bashing him for hit. You can give advice, but it will always be the OPs choice whether to take it or not. And with that said, his UI art does look pretty nice. I'm sure he'll either actually finish something or return from this project with a huge amount of new experience - something most of us have been through.
So please, guys, just let it go.
