One Take - Ludum Dare 28
Long takes are the newest trend in film making! One Take for a very long scene, with no mistakes by the actors or cameraman!
You work as a cameraman, and your boss, the director, wants to follow the trend of taking these long takes. Can you maneuver yourself through all the points the camera needs to film? Find out and play One Take!

Had a lot of fun making this game! I might turn this into something full, but I think I say that every Ludum Dare and never actually did. Time to make a change? Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

Mac version doesn't work for me. Zip won't unpack in Finder, but it does when I use The Unarchiver, however, the app file refuses to start.

I'm a bit confused about publishing for Mac. Someone did it for me once, and I copied that ever since (replacing the files).DaedalusYoung wrote:Mac version doesn't work for me. Zip won't unpack in Finder, but it does when I use The Unarchiver, however, the app file refuses to start.
Maybe it was the file in Contents/MacOS. I replaced it, so it might work now.
If that still doesn't work, I would really appreciate it if someone would port it to Mac.

Great entry. Congratulations.
The idea is really creative and well implemented.

This one seems to work for me on my Mac: [link].
I like the game, very interesting idea, just sometimes it seems the requested shot is not registering or not possible. I don't see a sheriff in the first scene, so I don't know what to focus on. When the couple enters the screen, they're in shot, but the game doesn't recognise me doing so, and I also then have the couple with the homeless man in one shot, but the game thinks they're not. I cannot get the police at the door and the woman in one shot, it just won't zoom out far enough. And a few more shots in the 3rd scene the game doesn't recognise.
[edit] After a few more tries, I managed to get more points, but I still don't know who the sheriff is. I may be too artistic for this game, my shots are good, but the game doesn't count it.

Yes! Thanks a million!DaedalusYoung wrote:This one seems to work for me on my Mac: [link].
Well if there are 2 cowboys, and the right one is the bandit, then who would the sheriff be?
Some descriptions might not have been clear enough. But when the director tells you to show him something, he also means to zoom in on it. Most shot requests are doable. The only one that I fucked up is the moment when the policeman kicks the door.

Oh, I thought the left one was the bandit. Probably because first time it asked me to show the bandit and I focussed on the right guy, it was wrong Prob not zoomed in far enough then.

Brilliant game! quite original, never played as a camera-man before A bit hard as well, had to do a double take on most movies to get it perfect. I also really like that it feels like a complete experience. Well done Sheepolution.
