The Advanced Tile Loader library.

You can find it here if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.love2d.org/wiki/Advanced_Tiled_Loader

In my opinion, the easiest way to do physics is love.physics. Although it's really inefficient for simple things, it's very simple once you understand the basics.

I made a tutorial.

Code: Select all

      L
    L Ö
    Ö V
L Ö V E
Ö B E
V E
E Y

I think your cryogenic preservation capsule is malfunctioning, year 3013 is still 986 years away. :D

Technically he opened this thread... so this is probably one of the milder necroposts on the forums... :3

But yeah, despite time moving forward, physics doesn't get easier; hell, it gets harder.
One would assume that people would learn stuff instead, like basic physics, under the elapsed 4 years.
Me and my stuff :3True Neutral Aspirant. Why, yes, i do indeed enjoy sarcastically correcting others when they make the most blatant of spelling mistakes. No bullying or trolling the innocent tho.

Shameless self-promotion time: you can check my series of physics tutorials. They were made specifically for simple platforming games, so no complex anything. I'll admit, this tutorial has its flaws, but it still helps wrapping your head around physics, since I wrote it specifically when I too was afraid to tackle the beast.
