Ok, a new try in an own topic
Qubodup recommended this engine to me as an cool engine for a spoofing, hard game like "i wanna be the guy" or like "syobon action".
More information about the games and the idea:

Sadly i am not a programmer, just a graphic creator and level designer.
Is someone interested in programming that game?
Looking forward for your answer and other ideas.
CU,
Sauer2
BTW: How can i run a .love file under Ubuntu :
Klicking on it runs a archive manager.
EDIT: Fixed the link.

I can't see the link...
Ubuntu LÖVE:
Method 1: Right-click the .love file and choose Open With. You can use a custom command, just write love and you're done. Be careful not to fuck up your file associations or else every zip-like file will be opened with LÖVE (I can tell).
Method 2: Open a terminal, browse to the directory where the -love file is located and write "love gamename.love" without the quotes.

Hey there sauer2
When you tried it in the command line, did you write the .love ending too?
If possible, give us the command line output if you try to run from terminal.
I think it would be good if you removed one "!" from the title and put a "I Wanna Be The Guy-like platformer" in it. It helps people realize what the löve the post is about. (ATM it's not even clear if you want devs for a game or for a web browser )

lg.newImage("cat.png") -- made possible by lg = love.graphics
-- Don't force fullscreen (it frustrates those who want to try your game real quick) -- Develop for 1280x720 (so people can make HD videos)

You're right; many "!" looks like i am mad  !!!
(Like Terry Pratchett says)

So by the way, Sauer2 has created a first level design, which might give you a hint on what he has in mind.
And "I wanna be the guy" is a game that you can take a look at here: http://fromearth.net/LetsPlay/IWBTG/
