Hi everyone,
This weekend I was at a gamejam with my team and we made a löve game to be played in the swimming pool. It's a sort of fish dress-up game where there's a screen with digital fish and you can control their items by taking a giant fish-shaped floatie with an RFID sensor in the nose and swimming to a bunch of buttons scattered throughout the pool.
Unfortunately it's not really playable without the specific hardware hooked up to it, but I decided to at least include a screenshot so you can see how awesome it turned out.
(And we won first place with it! And I have to thank löve for a big part of that because it's the only language I know that would let me build something like this in two days. Wooh!)

They're all on the development machine which I don't have here right now, but I'll see if I can post some pics when I get them.

This is a short trailer video we made of the game. It shows the giant floating fish and the screen.
This is our team photograph with a closeup of the fish, which we duct-taped together from floating tubes. (I'm the guy with the beard)
You can see the small box in the nose of the fish that holds the electronics (which weren't present during the photo as we were testing out if it was properly waterproofed.)

This is the only picture of the game in action I could find so far. Due to hectic presentations we didn't really have time to make a lot. You can see the big monitor showing the game. Behind it runs a wire up to the hatch in the ceiling; there's an Arduino with a wireless XBee module hooked up to that, which is connected via USB to the computer. The arduino communicates with löve using the device file and some basic io commands.
The fish have in their nose (which is made from a tupperware box, sealed tight with silicone kit and ducttape) a Teensy hooked up to a tumble-switch (which let us detect when people picked up the fish to play with it) and an RFID reader to scan the stations. The Teensy also had an XBee module to allow for wireless communication between the two.
