I've been developing a little game inspired by Ataris Adventure. It's simple, uses rectangles for graphics(accept the sword and key), and is very colorful.
Just wanting to get a couple opinions as I continue this game. So here is the demo of what I have so far. (the dragon is implemented, but because of some heavy bugs, I haven't added him into this demo).

Re: Loventure [WIP]
Well, it works. Not much gameplay to comment on yet. Also, what collision system are you using? Is it tile based as I seemed to be able to clip through different amounts of wall. Good work so far
Re: Loventure [WIP]
Taking the key to the black box is almost all the game play will be. Also, going through mazes and such. It uses bounding box collision detection, but I'm trying to make it feel like the Ataris Adventure collision. WIP :-)
Re: Loventure [WIP]
My eyes are bleeding Would you consider changing the BG color? 255,0,255 is considered the most hated color and was used as a "transparent" color cause the majority of people assumed no one would use that color in his color palette
Re: Loventure [WIP]
Consider changing the color scheme, I find it pretty hard to look at this for more than a few seconds. And the collision detection/response is pretty buggy.
Don't really have much feedback other than that as there isn't much to it yet.

Will update the attachment later, maybe. The updated version is of course on github. Link is provided I think.
