You must be bored.

Post by veethree »

So i decided to make a game due to boredom. Here's the result.

I basically took a very simple concept, And tried to polish it as much as i could in one session. The concept is to collect randomly appearing stars with a circle that follows the mouse. You basically have infinite 10 second rounds (not related to ludum dare, Just happens to work for this game), And the objective is to try to beat your high score from the previous round.

There's also a "custom game" mode which allows you to change how long each round is, And how many stars spawn per second.

Controls:
Mouse to move the player, Escape to return to the menu, And exit if already in the menu.

The code is pretty dirty. Wouldn't recommend looking at it. If you do, Do so at your own risk.

It won't let me attach the .love so you can download it here. (press "You must be bored.love" near the top of the page)

Your game may be a little bit boring, but graphics design in your game seems perfect to me! Also, the code is not 'dirt' at all. Some variables in the code have too short names, which makes understanding of their purpose harder to others. Thank you, veethree, for this good game =)

Nice and polished. The space where stars appear is a bit strange. It leaves a relatively large space open at the bottom, but not at the top, where the text interferes.

See this screenshot.
Help us help you: attach a .love.
