Ah, that stinks. Sorry about that
The rewrite of the core I'm doing will probably no longer be using canvases, but we'll see.

you should get a new computer its totally worth it, but i still support the idea of not having canvas as the main drawing thing in löve games the idea is still good but only as an optional option.Daniel Eakins wrote:Thanks guys
pauljessup: Unfortunately I can't run your project because my computer doesn't support Canvases. But that's because I have a relatively old computer (still running Windows XP and I don't even have a separate "graphics card", only the default thing on the default motherboard).

Well, I came to Love from programming with Allegro in C++, and in that using an offscreen rendering thing (canvases, etc) was no big thing. And it gave me a lot of awesome flexibility. I do kinda miss it.

I agree. But I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just saying you should at least consider it. You could build yourself one for about £400 or so. Maybe even £250 and put Linux on it. I'd say you'd benefit from it But up to youjjmafiae wrote:you should get a new computer its totally worth it[...]

Not everyone has that money to throw around...
I'm probably going to cut out canvases. When someone said old computers couldn't do it, I was picturing OLD computers. Like Pentuim 1's that were running a slim version of Linux or something.
