You might try Rift at:

http://www.riftgame.com

It plays like a watered down version of World of Warcraft for free. Unlike some Free to Play games in the MMO markets, you can solo without needing help if you like that and it's fully featured. If you care about looks, then the game requires some money to customize. However, unlike some of these Asian games, you can reset your character points if you like without having to pay for it with real money. One of the strengths of the game is the ability to customize your character's abilities by using three different trees.

I presently play a DPS shaman cleric who specializes in getting 1 second ability cooldowns instead of the usual 1.5 seconds, and I heal groups and raids by just showing up. If people do damage, they get free healing from one of my auras. I personally like getting equipment from player auctions, which can be found in a faction's capital city. (Sanctum for the Guardians.)

Grouping can be slow to get unless you play a tank. I play a healer, and I've never ran a dungeon yet because of the slow queues. I've levelled half way through on what are called "Instant Adventures."

I can't mention anything about PvP because I quit doing that years ago. It makes me want to break things when I lose due to stupid events, and I don't want to shatter my computer, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, the game has its good points. I can waste an hour in day just levelling.

In my opinion, what runs on a Mac will run in Linux since both share the Unix roots. In fact, Wine or Wine-based Steam games will run on one machine if it runs on the either. (Wine: http://www.winehq.org) I'm sure there are exceptions. I use Ubuntu Linux with Gnome and few speed tweaks. My games, if they run on Linux, typically will run much nicer than on Windows.

I do dual-boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.

A decent game to try would be the old Half-Life 2, which comes from Steam. Another I really like is Bastion. (http://supergiantgames.com/index.php/media/)

The inspiration for my own game project, the Sylveria Software Story, comes from Bastion, the old Final Fantasy games, and the Breath of Fire series.

You must play the BioShock series if you haven't already. Especially the first and third one. I don't care much for the second one even though I just started it.

There's also Limbo which is cool
I like to draw and program :)

Why are you so obsessed with communism? Considering your age I wonder if you even have gone in depth with it :o:.
