Wow it looks so good, well done comrade!jonyzz wrote:Awesome project
Today I was kinda bored, so I made this web page containing Vapor download links and showcase of all available games. Everything is generated from games.json by this simple lua script, the logo was made by substitute541. I'm not sure if it can be somehow useful, so I'm just sharing the idea .

But without introductions people doesn't know that they first need to install LÖVELINESS to play the games. Also the Vapor LOVE file does not make really sense here, because it's not executable without LOVE.
A suggestion would be to give the user the choice to download the VAPOR offline client (but with LOVE as executable for win/mac/linux) or to choose to install LÖVELINESS with the listed games.

This looks great!
Added my game trAInsported to the list.
There are two lists, however, and your don't say which one to edit (one in the root folder and one in the src subfolder).
Which one should we edit?

That's very nice! I might steal this as a basis for the site, thank you! I was thinking of making a branch and hosting a github website, so to speak.jonyzz wrote:Awesome project :awesome:

Currently, there aren't any self-standing binaries (although you could just run ./build.sh) so a .love would be rather confusing at the moment.SiENcE wrote:But without introductions people doesn't know that they first need to install LÖVELINESS to play the games. This is an interesting idea, but may be tricky to make happen unless we stored the binaries right in the .love, and unpacked them to savedirectory.SiENcE wrote:A suggestion would be to give the user the choice to download the VAPOR offline client (but with LOVE as executable for win/mac/linux) or to choose to install LÖVELINESS with the listed games.
I meant to get a hold of you, I'm glad you beat me to it! I've already responded, there are some issues, but we will be able to make this happen!Germanunkol wrote:This looks great!

the /games.json is a softlink to src/games.json, so you want to edit the latter.
Update
* Yesterday I put a lot of time into a new interface design that has moving cover flows and uses loveframes. It's not stable yet, but if you'd like to try it, you can pull from the repo!

Nice job with the executables! Smart to use 0.1.3, as the current build isn't stable.jonyzz wrote:Updated.

No, sorry, no twitter...
Can you hint me in the right direction with the download counts? Maybe via pm here?

Re: Vapor - LÖVE Distribution Client
Hi, I was in blender mood recently and wanted to create an alternative logo for vapor. I sticked with the water molecule thingy, but wanted to get a bit away from the steam-shape. It's a pretty subjective thingy, maybe the logo is good as it is now, but it gave me a good occasion to toy around a bit, and since it is done now, I thought I post it here.
the "V" itself can be cutted off the rest to serve as logo/icon only.

I think the molecule thing works really well for the "V", but not at all for the "apor", so I think that getting rid of the circles in that part would be a good idea.
