I see it as a really good tool for distribution, since it makes it all as easy as clicking a button. It really improves chances your game will be installed and played, since many people sometimes won't even bother downloading if they think the game isn't worth even that kind of effort, which is seems to be the case for many small games.

I have a complaint that the networking works in syncrhonous mode, so while stuff is loading the client just hangs. I have lousy internet connection right now (it can't be stable with wireless) and 99% of the time the client would be suspended in "grayed-out" mode (in Windows, so it will with any other OS) and I don't even get a chance to push any button.

This was a one-night project, so I wasn't able to spend enough time writing the download to be non-blocking (via threading) along with download progress and such. It's currently in the issue queue as #1.

Added Mari0 with Maurice's permission.

The games properly sort now, but you only need to restart the client to be able to play Mari0!

Do you think you can create an online repository for LÖVE games backend? That is, a source from which Vapor would update it's list, and preferably a storage of said games in case official website download link is unavailable.

That was suggested earlier in the IRC channels.

If this takes off, I will create a drupal system that will do just that! https://github.com/josefnpat/vapor/issues/7

Do you think something like Whipser would be a good candidate for this? It's not a game, but it was made with LOVE.

So long as there is a server up for it to connect to, I don't see why not. At a later time, we could add tags and such for games and utilites.

Rock on.

Also, I've done a lot of work with Drupal professionally, and it would be perfect for this sort of thing. Could also add in UberCart for Love games that are commercial.

(I'm working on a commercial game right now with it myself...)

Could this, maybe, become a sort of love-only game distribution platform similar to steam?
