Welcome to the community!
That was quite quick for just one day of work with the engine. Well done, keep it up!

Thank you! I've been looking around the boards and saw loads of interesting projects and games so I hope I can learn a lot from you guys!
Anyway I will (hopefully) post a playable prototype here tomorrow! If I get the collision detection down.

I am currently being a wee bit of a cheapskate and using various libraries, snippettes, and YellowAfterlife's Platformer Engine (and of course some of my own additions! Don't worry, I can program original stuff, too! ).
Basically, I'm trying to tie it all together into an easy-to-add-your-own-level-to system. (With my own flare of course! )

Sounds like a nice challenging project numbra!
Day two for me on my action laser eye shooting game.
I managed to figure out collision and that was the biggest hurdle to overcome.
Feel free to try it out
w,a,s,d keys for movement
left mouseclick for red laser
right mouseclick for green laser (not implemented yet)

Unless you took them from OpenGameArt?! If so, I can't wait to see what your graphics will look like.
PM me on here or elsewhere if you'd like to discuss porting your game to Nintendo Switch via mazette!

Messing around with some polygon stuff.
Dull but sincere filler.

Surprisingly this took me only 1 week. 2 years ago it took me 3 months! Yay for programming level ups!

game about landlords, capitalists and farmers in early 19th century england. very basic stuff right now. Id be really interested to see other love wargames/rtses/tbses, so I can get some ideas for my gui, ai, etc. right now I'm focusing on the economic model side of the game which is going to be much more important than it is in other games. already each tile has a capital and labor intensity, a fertility which can be improved, labor that can only be sent out from towns in a certain radius, a tech level which reduces the labor/capital intensity respectively, and a rudimentary division of rent/wages/profits. right now you can only play as a capitalist. in the future I want to add the other two sides as playable but that is a long way off.
